My husband., Russell J Jensen, LCol. ret. USAF. "Russ" was forever pining for a simple pine box' when his time comes. That box/casket was located with the Quiet Waters Casket Company in Minnesota.
We were most impressed with the quality of how it was made; the quality and of the pine & grain made for an eye catching casket. This was a last minute decision. He was a wood lover & very experienced in preservation of wooed. Only regret that we didn't select it before—so he could have appreciated it. Thank you Roger— your services are much appreciated. Hi Roger-
We wanted to thank you for your help after the loss of my mother. We always avoided talking about what she wanted to do after her death but she insisted on one of your caskets. After she was taken unexpectedly, we called you and you didn't hesitate to help in any way needed. The casket was everything that she would have wanted. We lined the inside of the casket with her favorite pillows, blankets, pictures, and her favorite Starbucks gift cards. Her grandchildren, who she adored, drew pictures and wrote messages to grandma right on the outside of the casket. Family and friends were also able to write goodbyes. We were grateful to have a Quiet Waters Casket for an unique casket option. Ben & Marci Meyer _My father was a minister, and he always had a desire to be close to nature. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and it became known that he wanted to have a simple pine box when he went. Roger's casket fit the bill perfectly- it was beautiful, sturdily built and affordable. I received comments from dozens of people about its' beauty and quality- even the funeral director thought it was top-notch.
At Roger's suggestion, we laid my dad's favorite bright red "prayer shawl" around him and that was such a personal touch. Thanks, Roger, for your caring and unique service! When someone says "Just put me in a pine box." I think of Quiet Water's Casket Co. The caskets are not ornate, decorative or exotic. They are solid pine, well constructed, and designed for the single purpose of carrying a loved one to their final resting place.
Inspired by a desire to do something special for his aunt, Roger Rosengren, a local craftsman, created a practical and affordable casket for her funeral. From that experience Roger has provided several caskets for the clients of Anderson Funeral Home. We are proud to offer this casket to the families we serve. Robert Kensinger Anderson Funeral Home Alexandria, MN My grandfather was a craftsman and an inventor. One invention he sold was declared a masterpice of simplicity.
When he passed away it just seemed right for us to use a casket from Quiet Water's Casket Company. He would have appreciated the simple design, the quality of solid wood, the craftmanship required, and the personal touch of it being hand made. He was also a sometimes homesick Minnesotan so it was also meaningful to us that the casket was crafted from Minnesota pine. Nathan Schonberg, Holmes City, MN Roger,
I wanted to share with you our story of our Mother’s funeral and how you helped us really personalize that experience. First off, I would like to say how pleased we were with the casket we purchased from you. It was beautifully crafted and everyone commented how nice it was. When I delivered it to the funeral home in Montevideo, the funeral director informed me he had not previously had anyone furnish their own casket and didn’t have materials on hand to line it, etc. He offered to get the materials and do it for us, but we kids decided we wanted to do it. We bought 4’x8’x2” Styrofoam sheets which we cut to fit in the bottom, my sister and Dad bought some quilt batting and we then lined the casket on top of all of this with one of Mom’s favorite bed spreads. The funeral director then partially covered Mom with a quilt that my sister had made for her. It turned out beautiful. I believe that this personal involvement in the whole process was very good for our family in saying goodbye to Mom. I know it sure helped make it easier for me. My Dad thought the casket you made was beautiful and said that he wants one just like it when his time to leave this earth comes. I promised him he will have one, so I hope you keep making them. Thanks again Roger, keep up the good work. Dan Barber, Alexandria, MN When planning my father’s funeral, Roger was very helpful and sensitive to our family’s needs. His integrity and
honesty were so evident during the entire process, we could not have worked with a better company. Quiet Waters Casket Co. fills a niche, not previously served. Alan J. Grundei, Medina MN |
